Got to hang out at my friend Hopson's last night. Put on some 2" drop shocks on my truck yesterday in the rain. Truck rides like new again now. Went to see Bad Teacher with my sister (effing hilarious). Then went to Hopson's house at night fall. Had some drinks and talked IT with fellow professionals throughout the night. Life does not get much better.
This is a quick way for me to share ideas and projects I've done. Most of this is about technology, nutrition, music and pictures of my daughter.

Missing Missy
I would be doing you a disservice if I kept some of the ultra funny to myself. If I ever post anything on here that you really don't find funny let me know so I can stare at you in confusion over your lack of sense of humor. After a night of lmfao last night I realized that I had forgot to share this with you. This has been around for a while but in case you Missed Missy, here ya go. As a former graphic designer, I love this guy!

You have the power to quit!
The hardest addictions to break are the ones that are more socially acceptable. I know why you did it. Some hair-brained little prawn that you trusted told you it was kick-ass. Your way out was posted on LifeHacker today! Stop drinking the koolaid.

Daddy's Day
I got to spend some good time with my daughter of father's day today. We went swimming, went and had coffee with Aunt Brookie and Grandma. We had pizza and cookies for dinner. We got a nice bathing suit and some pink chuck taylors too! What a great father's day weekend.
It was not easy taking photos of you today Joaney. You only smiled when I put the camera away. Seriously I pulled the camera out 4 separate time and each time the smile would go away. You would say cheese with no smile. I'll get you next time, it's cool.

Great secret site
A friend at school introduced me to this site about 2 years ago. I'm addicted to it. It reminds me that no matter how crazy you think you are, you are pretty normal because everybody has the same demons to battle.

When you need to laugh
It's friday so I hope you have a smile on your face already. I want to introduce you to some site that you may not know of yet. I warn you now though, these will suck you in for long periods of time and not let go until your eyeballs turn to raisins.
Cracked
The Oatmeal
This guy just shot me an email and told me he liked my blog so of course I had to go check his out. The name got my curiosity. I've been dieting like a gym rat and my two favorite sources of carbs are Oatmeal and Grits (actually sweet potatoes makes 3). Anyway, when I read this blog on Grits I realized this dude is in the right frame of mind. He and his crew are the real deal, good people that value friendship and a hearty breakfast. I love these dudes already.

More painting
So I was hanging out with my friend that makes a really attractive subject to paint light around. Kept the iso at 800 cause I forgot to change it, I was having too much fun, if there is such a thing. We used flashlights (led and bulb) with clear packing tape and blue and green sharpies to color the light. The light source that kinda looks like flames is really just fingers covering up the flashlight intermittently throughout the exposure. Hope you dig it. Talk at yall later.

Light Painting
This crap is so fun! I did this Saturday night before fragging suckers in the game Red Faction. I'll be taking many more pics like this soon. This is just my first time playing with it. I used my optical mouse for the light source.

How bad is your town at night?
This site Trulia gives you a visual thermal map of crime in your area at night. New Orleans is still New Orleans.

It's in Beta right now so they are still adding more cities. I THINK I'd like to see Baton Rouge at night.

Regrets of the dying
I got this from inspirationandchai.com. It reminds me of my friend Gabe. He was more true to himself than anyone I know. He always tried to get you to look in the same mirror while trying to make you laugh. Damn I love that dude.
5 Regrets of the dying:
1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2. I wish I didn't work so hard.
3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.

Herman Cain
If you know me then you know I'm not very political. I usually take the ostrich approach because I feel we are screwed either way. This guy actually gives me a little hope. He seems to actually back the "common sense" approach he touts. Check him out and leave comments to let me know what you think of him.
