Driving range with Brandon

Went to driving range with my brother Brandon. I discovered why golf is so interesting to old guys. Golf is so very difficult to master. It's nice not being so well informed on an activity, kinda makes you feel young again. When you get a hold of one of those golf balls though and drive it into the stratosphere with the satisfying CLANK of a good driver....god damn that feels good. Not many lessons in life have such a gratifying reward.  My brother's swing is so much more fluid than mine. Gotta work on my swing. Less power, more control.

Fucking Down

Went to see Down on the 29th in Metarie. Really good show with top notch musicians. A les paul guitar through a cranked Marshall half stack will always grab my attention. I've been a big fan of Pepper Keenan from Corrosion for a long time and this is my first time seeing him live, he was awesome. This is my first time seeing Down live and despite father time kicking Phil Anselmo's ass, he still delivers a really solid performance. Phil is just a bad ass front man, period. Glad I decided to go. Just what I needed as a good parting gift from the main land. Thanks Down, you're swell!
