This is a quick way for me to share ideas and projects I've done. Most of this is about technology, nutrition, music and pictures of my daughter.

Aaaaggghhh!
Aggravation! I should have stuck with an NLE like Sony Vegas. Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 sucks! I created a premiere project on a different intel system and is is totally corrupt on my new system! I spent hours on this music video! This really sucks! Vodka does not make it all better. I was this >||< close! Looks like tomorrow will be all video editing.

Our weekend w/ kids
I just got back from my first trip offshore last weekend. First time in a helicopter, was lots of fun. I'm managing the desktop support for a new ship that is employing some new drill tech. Ate like a king and gained a little weight. I slept for 12 hours my first night back from offshore. Unfortunately they are not to keen on pics being taken out there so no pics for yall, sorry.
Speaking off weight, I'm starting back in the gym. Today was my first day back to the gym since my dad's passing. I had so much stuff come about at about that same time that I didn't have time to go to the gym. Things are starting to settle a bit now so it's good.
Daughter has Moluscum contagiosum. Looks like a few scattered blisters. It is contagious, despite the babies' momma being able to derive the fact from the virus' somewhat self explanatory name. We're trying to keep Carly's daughters from getting it. Been washing everything with a religious devotion.
We took the kids to The Aquarium of the Americas. Carly took her kids to see some pirate claymation movie while I went to her mom's house and setup a wireless access point so they could watch netflix on their blu-ray player. Kate saw some of our light painting photos and wanted to do some herself so we set some of the exposures for 5 seconds in hopes of catching a clearer image but she just could not stay very still. She had fun though so it's all good. I gave Pete (black lab) a bath and he was dirty again within 24 hours. Somewhere in all of that I got to spend some quality time with Carly. Good Times.
Oh and in this shark exhibit, they pointed out how sharks hangout around drilling rigs since they attract so much sea life. Why do these sharks seem to swim with their mouth always open?
What did you do last weekend?

For Joel
When my Dad was living in Venice...hold on let me back up....where was he living at that time...I'm really not sure. I'll have to ask Paula (the writer of Pete's history). One night Paula (a friend of my dad) and her girlfriends were hanging with my dad and she came up with the idea to write down Pete's entire history in resume form so they didn't have to explain it to every person living at the Marina in Venice. Pete was very popular down there since he is so highly trained. I am now letting you in on Pete's history.

Easter stuffs
Busy Easter weekend! Easter egg hunt, crawfish boil, pictures in the park, CT scan of my sinuses, and my brother moved back to Cali yesterday. Things are going great since moving in with the g/f and her daughters. It has taken some adjustment but it's not bad. We took some Easter pics of the girls in the park. Impossible to get 3 little girls to look in the same direction and smile at once, even when you bribe them, just doesn't happen. My brother moved back to Cali to pursue his dream of sailing to parts unknown, I imagine it will be a hot minute before I see him again, so i took a few pics with him. I just came down with a sinus infection after this weekend and am still getting over it as I type this. It seems like every time I make plans lately, life immediately throws a monkey wrench in just to show me who's boss. Still just trying to enjoy the ride. We love you and miss you Ronnie. Now you can pants Gabe in that skymall.
To my family. text me before you go printing these pics because these are lower resolution. I can send you the full res pics that will look better.

1996, what a year!
Everyone has their year. One year that really sticks out in your childhood memory. For me it was 1996. I had just finished my sophomore year at Woodlawn. I had a metallic purple Jackson Kelly standard guitar that I took with me on my vacation to Destin, FL. Prong's "Rude Awakening" and Pantera's "The Great Southern Trenkill" were our soundtracks. We listened to those cd's nonstop, sometimes while White Zombie's "Astro Creep 2000" was playing. Our dad had sold his company Tackle Logic and took us on vacation. Life was incredible. Yesterday I was moving some things to Metairie and noticed a picture of my g/f on a shelf from 96'. It was a pic with her mother and grandmother standing next to her. She was hot then too! She didn't go through the same awkward phase I did.I thought it was a nice coincidence that my brother sent me this pic the same day.
Anyway, During this vacation we went to Fudpuckers and watched a band called Miss Demeanor. They covered Dishwalla's "Counting Blue Cars" perfectly!
The only suck part was coming home to find our rock station 100.7 The Tiger had changed their format to Country. That was a Rude Awakening.
.
What year really sticks out in your head and why? Let me know in the comments.

Kony 2012
Ok I have to say something to all the sheep, Raggin' on the Kony 2012 director. I don't know the guy. I just saw Kony 2012 myself about 5 days ago. It moved me as it probably did you. I wanted to order the action pack but they were out. I will continue checking back with their site so I can pick one up.
Since going on to become the most viral video in HISTORY, Kony 2012 has incurred much backlash from people that blindly follow media. Here is what I see.
*Jason Russell saw a human being whose world was crushed and wanted to reach out to him and help him learn to live again.
*People say directors of the film have only given 31% of their 93 million dollar earnings. So effing what!? How much has the US given to Uganda ....ever? I'm asking you because I don't know. My math sucks but what is that, like 28 million he has donated to Ugandan forces?
*He has spent a decade of his life trying to get the voices of these lives heard!
.
So Joseph Kony has moved to a different territory, great! But he has destroyed the lives of 30,000 kids. Add in the parents and that's at least 90,000 people! He does this with NO REAL PURPOSE. Just to be a dick! WTF?!
Spend a year of your life doing work for ANY great cause. Then when your voice is finally heard, people will start throwing stones, claiming you're a fraud! See if you don't crack and don't start smashing coconuts on the sidewalk naked. I know I would. I overheard 2 ignorant people in WHOLE FOODs this weekend. A long haired goatee growing store associate and some older heavy set woman agreeing with each other that Russell is some sort of nut job.
I get so sick of some of the people I run into in this state. (LA) Damn I hate the media. People have no idea how to think outside of what is fed to them through the boob tube.
Again, I don't claim to know everything. I do know if I was trying to defraud people out of their money, I wouldn't try to do it by making some video of me going back and forth to Africa and posting it on youtube. I have seen a few big scams. In my heart of hearts I do not feel like this is one. Feel free to laugh at me if I'm wrong. Try and get a clue if I am right.

Storyville
So I took Joaney to Storyville along with Carly's kids (Kate and Mady). I was totally unprepared for last weekend. I knew it wasn't gonna be cold so I took all of Joaney's jackets out of the bag before I left the house. Of course it was fairly chilly last weekend. We took a boat load of pics last weekend. These are a few of those photos in all their unshopped glory. Kids are so photogenic! Now I know why you rarely see parents in front of the lens besides being boring, life has beaten us into a bloody pulp and it shows, speaking only for myself of course. Carly is freakin' hot but I usually don't post pics of her that she doesn't approve first. Do unto others right? Carly and I took turns with the camera. This was her first time using a dslr and she took some really good pics. I am impressed. Let me know what you think of these.
Feel free to comment on the blog itself, you would do it if it was my facebook wall.
Love these girls!
Serious Face
This girl is a photographer's dream. So photogenic, just beautiful!
One of Mady's many stink faces :)
